Pairing Problems: Causal and Christological

چکیده
Abstract Trenton Merricks has objected to dualist conceptions of the Incarnation in a similar way Jaegwon Kim’s pairing problem. On original problem, so argues Kim, we lack relationship between bodies and souls such that body A is causally paired with soul not B. Merricks, on other hand, whatever relations dualists propose do pair together (e.g. causal relations) are God Son all whatsoever via his divine attributes could cause motion any omnipotence). So if count these as sufficient for embodiment, then dualism implies embodied whatsoever. I shall argue while problem might be easily answerable, Christological must shift some their focus from defense soul’s existence explicating nature mind-body relationship.

Solving Large Scale Crew Pairing Problems
Crew pairing is one of the most critical processes in airline management operations. Taking a timetable as input, the objective of this process is to find an optimal way to partition flights of the timetable without breaking rules and regulations which are enforced by an airline. The problem has attracted many scientists in recent decades. The main challenge is that there is no general method t...
متن کاملCramer's Transactional Interpretation and Causal Loop Problems
Tim Maudlin’s argument for the inconsistency of Cramer’s Transactional Interpretation (TI) of quantum theory has been considered in some detail by Joseph Berkovitz, who has provided a possible solution to this challenge at the cost of a significant empirical lacuna on the part of TI. The present paper proposes an alternative solution in which Maudlin’s charge of inconsistency is evaded but at n...
متن کاملSix problems for causal inference from fMRI
Neuroimaging (e.g. fMRI) data are increasingly used to attempt to identify not only brain regions of interest (ROIs) that are especially active during perception, cognition, and action, but also the qualitative causal relations among activity in these regions (known as effective connectivity; Friston, 1994). Previous investigations and anatomical and physiological knowledge may somewhat constra...
متن کاملExtending Temporal Causal Graph for Diagnosis Problems
Abductive diagnosis (Brusoni et al. 1998) consists in finding explanations for given observations by using rules of inference based on the causal dependences of the system. Time is important for abductive diagnosis (Hamscher and Davis 1984), (Hamscher, Console, and Kleer 1992). There are few works in litterature handling temporal diagnosis (Kautz 1999). They differ in the expressiveness of the ...
